Try this delicious, refreshing treat in place of sugar filled dairy ice cream products:
Mango Blueberry Sorbet
Prep time: 5 minutes
Serves: 6
Ingredients:
1 bag frozen mango
1 bag frozen cherries
1 tablespoon agave nectar
¼ cup apple juice
Put all ingredients into a blender or vita mix
Blend until creamy, about one minute.
You may have to scrape the sides of the machine down a few times if using a regular blender
Serve immediately
Put the rest in a Tupperware container in the freezer to enjoy later.
When serving later on, take out a bit before serving
Tip: You can use any frozen fruits you like or freeze fresh fruit such as banana and strawberries.
Kale Chips
Let’s talk about kale for a moment. It’s one of the most nutritious vegetables you can find, filled with vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, phytonutrients (those handy cancer-fighting nutrients), fiber, calcium, and all kinds of essential amino acids.
Potato chip lovers – Kale chips are a great swap for chips and a great way to get greens in. Great snack for kids and husbands!
Preheat oven to 350
Take 1 head fresh kale, wash and remove center stem/vien
In a bowl sprinkle Kale with Sea Salt and Olive Oil
Mix well
Place on baking sheet
Bake for 10 minutes, or until edges are brown and Kale is crispy when moved in the pan
Try other seasonings too – Mrs. Dash, hot pepper, garlic, oregeno – use your imagination!
